Lol... I download some Movies at TV Shows, and use like 180Gb/Month. But I still but them when they eventually come out. Cause we are usually about 3 months behind the US, and sometimes we don't even get them at all.
But I would defiantly like to see a 100Gb plan from Telecom. Maybe they will bring one out when the BigTime plan closes. Will have to wait and see.

Also Slingshot has "The next big thing" on their site with a 50GB cap for $79.99, but is not available everywhere.

Ok well first of all I dont own a bluray player and why do you think telecom is stopping it ? cause they arnt making money from it so in typical monopoly style, Can it! heaven forbid kiwis get what they want "you are kiwis you will eat the scraps form the big table and be grateful" and then they go back to there boardroom and sit around saying "man and they still believe this crap we feed them"

So why don't you set up your own ISP and offer unlimited plans?

If you don't make money from it you won't last long.

Hey thats an idea
I could setup an isp and offer unlimited plans and get a whole load of people signed up then i could turn around and say nah its not working i want to stop unlimited and change your plans to 40gb and charge you $20 month more Yea cause most people wont bother they will just say ok what ever you say I will most likely retain say 50%
Good idea ...... but it doesnt sound very nice or fair or moral but hey who cares Business is Business

I've been offered $20/mth off for the first 3 mths on Pro, anyone else get that?

If I haven't moved to Pro by Aug 13th i'm automatically moved to the adventure plan

Either way i'm off to Orcon I think.... I like the data chunks Slingshot has to offer, like if i'm away for a month or 2 i'm not wasting all the data i've bought.

Just got mine as well. I'm on total home so was interested how that would work. Basically total home + $30 a month for Pro plan.

I'd do it if there was no overage charges...but since there are I'll drop back to 20gb.

I'm so tempted to say screw it, go back to writing letters and watching regular broadcast TV.

come to think of it I think there's enough sneakernet going around to keep me isp free!

Somehow I think there was only ever going to be one suggestion for ex Big Time customers: "we've taken a look at your account and based on your data usage in the past two to three months, we think Pro Broadband plan will be best for you."

Riiiight, how do you explain this suggestion when over the past 20 months, first on the 60 GB advanced plan, and then Big Time, averaging 100 GB per month, even on the 60 GB business plan. We have never used less than 80 GB per month in our time with Telecom. Talk about a complete fob off.
