JustAnotherJohn: Hey
Unfortunately unlike the people having issues with usage meter not recording their usage, mine seems to be recording far too much. Can anyone please recommend some software that will monitor all internet traffick across the modem. I have 1 Laptop connected wirelessly and an xbox connected via cable. If i need to i can disconnect the wireless but its a bit of a pain. I use the standard Telecom wireless router (white with grey top)

Any info would be appreciatted.

+1. Just posted in another thread about this. Usage meter recording way more usage than I'm actually doing for the last couple of months. My wife and I even spent five days in hospital recently with our little boy with nobody left at home and it still registered hundreds of megabytes of usage per day. I am tired of running out of usage in week three and can't afford to go up to the next plan.

Can anyone at Telecom investigate without me having to phone the Helpdesk?

Cheers

Steve

Steve, you really need to log a fault with 123. I assume you don't have a wifi network. If you do the first thing you should do is change the key.

Will give them a ring in the morning. I am on wifi but not seeing any clients on the LAN that aren't mine.

I am still having problems accessing the usage meter.
Server error (500).
Paul (earlier post) has alerted the appropriate folks at Telecom -hopefully!.

In the meantime I have found if you just keep trying (immediately close the pop-up page and re-enter login details) it will eventually work, perhaps after 2 or 3 attempts.

Indeed I have.
There are people looking into the error 500 problem at the moment, I am not part of the team that looks after these things any more so can only relay what is going on.

Firefox is coming up untrusted connection. Do I proceed? Says a secure connection has been asked for but can't confirm it's secure.

Under technical details has:

www.telecom.co.nz uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.

(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

Usage is being recorded again (instead of zero) for us so they've fixed at least one issue, hopefully they can get to the bottom of the higher than expected readings some of the rest of you are getting.

An issue was found and corrected yesterday around midday, sorry I didn't get a chance to let you know.
We are still working on the Error 500 problem as well.

The other thread on over recording is being investigated by what 5uperTed is saying so that is good.

Paul
