I have been contacted by someone at Telecom who is looking into this. Let's hope something changes soon.

Somehow the Google SMS used for two factor authentication is also being blocked somewhere.

I have two factor authentication turned on and no SMS is being received from Google now.

Can also confirm this. Very odd because I last logged into gmail last month with 2 factor auth and received the SMS fine and even before that with 021 ported number on XT.

Hotmail did not work either with 021 ported to XT till couple of months ago when I notified them. They updated whatever they had to and was able to set up 2 factor authentication on my Hotmail account as well. Now I tried to test it again and no confirmation SMS being received any more on Hotmail either.

Actually the Google SMS came in, two hours later. Obviously not in time for me to login to Google...

I seem to be getting intermittent service with international incoming SMS messages even from the likes of Google. Fishtext stopped working last year, then worked for a bit and then stopped altogether. Fishtext does "spoof" senders number but even without spoofing the number results in nothing at my end and it's something that should really work.

I just tried Groupme (I'm not downloading an app just to test EchoEcho) and sure enough, no SMS.

I have a case open for this exact issue, Initially I got a fob-off response however I persisted and I chased up the issue and tier 2 verified a problem and escalated it higher however I have not heard back since (2 weeks).

(Samsung Galaxy SII forced on to the WCDMA 850 band. non (never) ported "027" number, Post-paid customer)

My 021 on XT is working fine with the above. No delay. What would cause the inconsistency? Is it human error when setting up the porting procedure each time or is this automated?

I will try and address the issues separately.

Groupme which is a Skype service, aren't doing correct lookup’s to the NPDB and are sending to Voda instead.

We are attempting to get them or their HUB provider to use correct number portability lookups.

Looking into the Google delay..  Can someone please PM me with their example of this.
Time/Date, number.

Thanks for looking at that. This leaves EchoEcho, which is probably in the same boat.

The Google SMS delay for me was 16-Mar-2012 22:17 - it took about 90 minutes to arrive.

Can others with ported numbers try Groupme now?..

I couldn't attribute the Google delay to within our network, will observe it.
EchoEcho can I get a couple more recent examples please.

Just tried it now on my non-ported, never ported number.

Groupme now works, message delivery instant.
Google lost password now works but took 4 minutes
Google youtube 15-minute now works but took 3 minutes
Fishtext change number did not come through though I'm aware that Fishtext spoof sender numbers (why does this make any difference as it works fine on both Vodafone and 2Degrees?)

Thanks Jaidevp for looking into this.
