NikT: I had the 6275i briefly as well, was a horror of a device after coming from my Sony Ericsson V640i. SE sure made some good dumbphones. Nokia did too, of course, but the 6275i wasn't really one of those.

I was previously using a Vodafone-branded device that I can't remember the model of (I think it was a Huawei underneath). My next phone after the 6275i was an SE W705a and I was pretty happy with the UI, but it was a bit flaky (it died a couple of months after getting it, although Telegistics was able to fix it, then a year or so later it decided to dump its preferred network list while I was overseas). It's also "soft-locked" to Telecom; the Telecom APNs are hard-coded so it can't be used properly with any other provider!

I remember using a Nokia 6275, I thought they were pretty good phones actually. The 6255 flip-phone was good too (although MMS didn't work a lot of the time).

I don't know what it was called but it was CDMA and it was a samsung something. The camera on it turned around to face the front or back and it had some cool games like Go Hamster

it was the first bunch of CMDA phone - a silver small brick with a flip out talk flip and a short antenna. can't find a pic. e something something. I think Samsung.

I dated my wife then. not sure if attracted to the phone or what ... oops ... umm ...

I used to charge $50.00 to unlock the GPS on the HTC Titan, and then install Garmin :-) Always wondered why Telecom locked the GPS on these phones. Good ol days of WM.

I remember reading your posts on various Pocket PC forums back in the day, only so many people out there discussing Windows Mobile CDMA devices in NZ! Much respect.

Never did manage to get EvDO working on my Titan, nor MMS, but it wasn't for lack of trying (Not least because the TCL CDMA MVNO plan had only ~500txts but 'unlimited MMS' due to an issue with the billing systems). Then again, I wasn't about to use too much data at $3.00/MB.

Haha the good old days of Windows Mobile. I was on a quest for knowledge so I posted anywhere where I could get help. I had EvDO but MMS was hit and miss. Most importantly I could unlock the GPS going which really maximised the use of my Titan. Then the clever guys at Massey got Android .9? on the Okta Touch . It was then ported to the Titan and I could boot off the SD Card. I could call and make texts and it got me thinking.. This Android could really take off.. That was 2008.. Rest is history!

I was a fan of Motorola, until Motorola and Telecom unfriended each other which meant no more Moto handsets on Telecom for a while. In early 2000s I went to Voda briefly to buy a Moto handset
