keepexploringnz:
quickymart: Hmmmm, might be good for my Mum who hardly uses the internet but can only get ADSL.
Try and get them to move to wireless, if possible i moved some time back and so dont regret it .... a few times Spark has asked if i want to move to Fibre but due my data use and the download/upload speeds im more than happy.

She can't get good wireless signal where she is, but her copper landline works fine. If I was going to migrate her to anything it would an NGA fibre connection. One day...

I personally would like to see copper also get this (it's perfect for many of my family members on rural copper too outside of 4G)

This is the first for a plan like this in the market, I'd like to see it go far further!

RunningMan:

trig42:it is 50/20 isn't it (FibreBASIC)?

50/10

What about in Christchurch now enable has bumped everyone up to 200/20? I was tempted to switch when I'm out of contract but 200 down to 50 is a big reduction in speed.

Enable have not bumped speeds up, they have offered a deal which is up to the provider to take up. (of-which there are alot of little changes that have to happen it's not just a flick of a switch)

At this stage it has not been taken up on spark, Skinny and Bigpipe do offer it however.

Also, they have only made 100/20 the same price as 200/20. their lower plans are still the same price.

I’m in Christchurch, saving $20 a month compared to Sparks 200/20 plan. Without entertainment add on.

Use over 120 gigs every month, so other then being able to turn down having Lightbox, Netflix no change to before.

Only people that go below 60 gigs may save, as the 60-120 gig range just brings it in line with what other ISP’s are charging for unlimited.

I believe no phone services Big Pipe, Skinny.

I did see a compassion over other providers. Wasnt that bad really..

Spark isnt the cheapest provider out there, thats what we have the likes of skinny for.

I just don’t understand why Spark doesn’t take Enable up on their offer.

Already have a 200/20 plan in place, and then if someone’s on Enable just give a $15 discount, to take the 200/20 price down to 100/20 one.

Spark gives the Chorus benefit to people outside Enable, 50/10, but people have to change ISP’s to get Christchurch benefit.

Skinny, Big Pipe not an option as don’t do landline.

Other then that Unplan is close to what others are charging, but not on Enables network.

I wish it were that simple. It's not that simple. This IS on the pipeline of work to deliver. No I don't have an ETA sorry.

Went to sign up with this, but as I'm still on an existing Spark contract, chat advised that I would be charged $199 ETF.  First time I've been hit with this, even when switching between plans during my contract period.

There are a few big changes in this plan compared to the old ones. As such unfortunately you cant move between contracts unless your already on your last month.

I'm unsure if that will change in the future.

Just saw the ad on TV and not a deal at all. We are on Vodafone at home and we pay under $50 per month for 300GB as of last week

@hio77 Nope not a Welcome deal and does have an extra 60GB for a limited time (no end date can be found) but then after the 60GB offer ends it's still 240GB for under $50

I only see the Everyday Home plan at $69.99/month with a 24 month contract... What plan are you on that's $20/month cheaper than that? (Mobile bundle does take that to $59.99)

Was about to change the home broadband to 2degrees and just happen to get a courtesy call from Vodafone and they said would you stay if we did 300GB for $49.99 per month

Also got a email confirming pricing per month 5 minutes after hanging up
