BigMal: The problem is still present for me. ?Is anybody with a logitech universal remote able to and on the Pro plan with a static IP able to use the logitech software?

I noticed my speedtouch modem can't connect to the DNS servers (see attached pic) is this normal??
https://cdn.geekzone.co.nz/imagessubs/blog07ab9fca4153febadd326fcdaed288f0.jpg??

Yes that is normal, we dont allow ping to the DNS servers for various reasons.

Thanks, i have your PM so I am looking at that.

Regards

Paul

Still seems kind of slow to me. eg, I go to http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/ and it takes a few seconds before anything happens at all and then loads the page but never seems to finish loading - some thumbnails not appearing.
I have to manually stop the page loading.

Is this what it's going to be like from now on?

I will take a look at that site and see if its a caching issue.
Are you using the Telecom DNS servers, and was this example from about the time of your post?

My issue with the Twitter client is resolved, at least at present. Great.

Not sure about DNS and that kind of thing? Where would I find that?
I can tell you that it's still not working properly. I went to stock photography site www.dreamstime.com and did THIS SEARCH and it seemed very slow; also not all the thumbnails came up (16 broken image links).

This was done at 8:30pm

Dreamstime worked great last week when i used it - very quick.
Not sure how I'm going to do work with this :(

If you have never modified it in your modem setup and you got the modem from Telecom then its going to be pointing at the telecom DNS servers.
Usually in the modem config web page there is an option to either set the DNS servers or leave it set to "use dynamic assigned DNS".

It is different on each modem though.

I am trying to replicate your fault at the moment, but such is the nature of these issues its hard to replicate and track...
