Behodar:
Talkiet: Thanks, what about http://www.wellington-airport.co.nz

Where abouts is "here"?

Cheers - N

Airport's working. The site I linked, ironically, seems to be down (tested using http://www.downforeveryone.com/downforeveryoneorjustme.com).

"Here" is Whakatane.

Whoa... Meta man, that's so meta :-)

Glad it seems to be up for everyone now... I have a small test network of about 20 nodes showing that the problem was resolved at about 1:15pm, but it's always better to hear real world customers confirm this.

Cheers - N

lissie:tracert fails somewhere in the US - but my point stands - if it was the host's fault 2degreemobile wouldn't have connected me to the site ?

This sort of things happens all the time in all countries, and is usually beyond the ISPs control. It is nothing to do with NZ being 'third world'

Got to wonder why the airport doesn't host it in NZ, but I guess many of their cusromers viewing it are outside NZ, and hosting it in the USA may mean it loads faster for more people.

Caching web proxy problems like this are annoying but really there haven't been that many of them.

Some of the comments are hilarious for their over reaction, unrealistic expectations and unwarranted self importance.

how do you log a problem with accessing a website with Telecom? I have one that I visit frequently that seems to have a problem, but it works fine for anyone outside of NZ and I can see it ok via a proxy but not through my Telecom connection. I feel like it has been cached whilst it has been down, so now the down cached version keeps getting called?...

Ring up 123, log a call with them and they will look into it.  There could be a caching or routing issue affecting your ability to access the site.  But logging a call is the best plan.  Also helps to post the site you're trying to access.

I'll post the site if and when it happens again, no point doing it now whilst it is working
