They couldnt watch their home CCTV on the low quality stream which from memory is about 300 kbit/sec. So the capping is somewhere below that. Spotify was also having issues on some tracks.

Ah parenting 101...... Just because it's "unlimited" does not mean you should just give kids the phone to shut them up.

I have only seen one person who has exceeded the 22GB limit and they were getting max speed of 1Mbps using speedtest.net app over 4G

I really don't know how someone could do 22gigs in 2 days. Sure they could be streaming netflix but would not one download it to the device now that they let you do it?

I am with another telco now on a really big plan but i can't see me using more than 10gigs in a month and that is not being on wifi most of the time anymore and streaming music when in the car and at the gym.

Anyway not really my business what the kids were doing but good on spark on rating the traffic after the soft limit. It only takes a few people to stuff it for the rest and the users really don't have a right to b**** about it after they hit that 22gig soft limit.

Does make me wonder how much the kids would have used if it did not get rated

Just wondering does anyone know if the OneBill plans will change over to roll over or you have to give Spark a call to make sure they do ? Mine changes tomorrow so i thought id look into this as find data use is moderate on the one bill number as i also have one on the unlimited plan.

FYI - Looks like it stays on the original one bill plan, ... not a major but interesting to see with the Onebill plans not being changeable on the site will just drop past store in the next few days and get the change done.

Oh by the way just got this changed via live chat (at 6:30am so impressed on this) and all sorted and new plan up and running with in 5 mins.

I'm surprised that they have such a small limit on what carry's over, seems a bit pointless to me, I can understand why they would do if for prepay but not high paying pay monthly customers...

Had one of their automatic e-mails this morning advising of the new plans, still no movement on increasing data-caps to follow the moves 2degrees and Vodafone have made

I'm thinking they are sitting on it for now. They might be looking at letting people hotspot on their unlimited and working out a way to stop it after a set amount of data each month.

Disappointing plans..

now with 28 day rollover
caps on the rollover minutes/data amount
No longer includes full spotify on any plans
Minutes went up but no increases in data

This totally bites :(

Spotify was the only reason I was on the $19 pre-paid plan. I don't care about rollover data.
If this is the case then I'm just going to go back to purely prepay with no plan at all.

My cousin just chatted with Spark and the person claimed that if you are already on a pre-paid music pack with full Spotify that you can keep it as long as you have enough credit when it rolls over to the next month. I hope it is true.

I've reached the limit 2 or 3 times since the launch of the plan (Mainly when travelling for work and not around wifi) and can confirm the speedtest results I got were around 1.00 Mbps Down / 2 Mbps Up.

Despite the speedtest results, I would say it was fairly usable while throttled. I could stream Podcasts and online radio without any buffering, apps like Instagram and Snapchat were slower then normal but it wasn't slow to the point where I would say I couldn't use it. Only issue I ever came across was trying to use Facetime over 4G.
