http://72.21.214.128 works for me too. Does this mean that the problem is with Telecom's DNS servers?

No If that was an issue we would have much larger issues on our hands right now.

concrete: Getting slower and slower... thinking about tethering my iPhone (Vodafone). This has been going on all day way over it.

Thanks for that suggestion. Been frustrated at the sites I need to access and unable to. Hadnt even thought of tethering iphone.

Iphone now tethered, and all websites working perfectly.

Cant believe this issue has been going all day.. I reported a similar issue approx 2 weeks ago with international sites.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Least i now know its not just me.

Do me a favor and tell me when this comes back to normal? I don't want to go back to new Twitter until then, as its such a pain to even get to the option of opting out of the trial.

Paul, here's some info that may help you debug.

Failures on Telecom ADSL 2+ in 3 different addresses within 10km of each other (Whangaparaoa, North of Auckland)

Telecom T-Stick data card - works fine
Vodafone data card - works fine

On the ADSL, these URLs don't work. Get a "connection reset" message after 2 - 5 seconds. Using Firefox 3.6, Chrome, IE 7. Use the same PC with a Telecom data card or Vodafone tethered connection, they work fine.

Finally managed to get assigned to 1.1 AKmdrL2CacheBC8.telecom.co.nz

amazon.com and www.amazon.com are inaccessible, but the IP brings up the page.

Are you determining which cache by going to a cache detection site?
If so that may give you a false sense of which one you go through for any request.

Each request is distributed based on the url.

Sorry to hear its still broken, we are working on this issue.

Thanks so much MXpress & wakaridnnz. That works a lot better, and I changed my bookmark.

I am finding that sometimes the longer the path in the URL, the less likely it is to load.

eg, I can go to bigpeace.com - it eventually loads, although slowly.

But if I try and load bigpeace.com/cglick/2010/12/03/the-wikileaks-challenge/ is still isn't displaying anything. Most of the time the page never loads.

Hi Paul,

I am going to whatismyip.com as that shows if I am being routed through the cache farm or not.

So the only times I have been unable to access amazon have been when connected through the cache.

Sort of off topic, but what OS is used for the cache servers, as the finger print isn't recognised?

This is true for my link also as I just tried it with your theory in mind:

This link still does not work:

This link loads instantly or after a certain period of time:
