bob234: Sorry - I was meaning I didn't encounter the disable notifications when using Chomp - yes I still have the duplicate sms issue with chomp too.  Oh well - in the grand scheme of things its not a biggie...

Cool i did a google search and cant find anything about it but the standard sms app is not to bad.

yeah i can live with the standard app until it is fixed.  there is a forum on xda where a # of other users have encountered this problem.  Sounds like it is unique to the particular samsung ics build we are using.

No problem.  If you find a fix let me know!

Out of interest, have you tried to use (or are using) Chrome Beta?  I tried it and it seems very buggy?

Only just started using it yesterday, i like it so far and have not had any major issues.

Chrome is indeed very buggy. Also, sometimes the entire system freezes even if you're not using Chrome! But if I uninstall Chrome everything's rock solid. Also I've read many cases of people's bookmarks getting deleted from the servers because of sync issues.. I will avoid Chrome till it becomes more stable. Either ways, I see no reason for using it. I mean, the stock browser, Opera Mobile, Opera Mini all works really smooth and well. :)

I had another issue with WiFi .. it would connect but does not receive or send any data. Resetting phone, forgeting wifi password and restarting battery does not help. I had to reset the modem to make it work.

I have re-installed the following firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487

and this has fixed the SMS issue - i can now use GO SMS Pro

Damager:
stevenz: The Poland release is the one to get as they are generally "Open" and have full English.

Expect flashable leaks any moment now. There's no reason Telecom should need to do anything beyond VERY minor changes to the firmware as long as there's no issues with the modem, so no reason they shouldn't be able to get their version out pretty soon.

Depends how long they want to "test" it of course.

Got the official Poland ICS firmware and it's running great on my 9100T :-)

Happy to run this until my preferred ics rom developed updates his build to the official base. Im comfortable running stock for a little while, no rush to go custom!

The recent leaks have been stable and this official release is good.?

What modem are you using?

All comments are my own opinion, and not that of my employer unless explicitly stated.

I decided to give the I9100DXLP7 a try as suggested above and my experience was the same - no more 3rd party sms issues...also some other minor issues I had are gone now too - seems like the LP7 is for phones very similar to ours maybe?

Yes - I have a Telecom NZ purchased Galaxy S2 9100T - purchased late last year.  Until a few days ago I was still on 2.3.3 - as I have said before i'm more of a novice when it comes to rooting etc - very surprised how easy it was to install the new firmware.  To put the LP7 one on I just followed the same steps set out here but with the LP7 firmware instead of LPQ: http://www.theandroidsoul.com/xxlpq/.

Only issue I have encountered is with the Navigation app Sygic which freezes now when phone connects and disconnects from car dock...

Did you have any WiFi issues? Switching WiFi off and On at time was buggy. But restarting the phone itself resolved. On the other firmware I had to reset my router ..
