I ported in late 2008, so if memory serves then it had been around for a little while at that point.

freitasm: I wonder if it's something on my number - one of the first to be ported back when NP was launched...

I have the same problem. Had it 4 weeks ago, and now it's back again. Only some providers though. Find one, aussiesms.com.au, which works fine.

All the best,

Berend.

Add pcgamesupply.com's verification text to the "it doesn't work" list. Fortunately there's also a voice verification option, which does work.

021 ported to XT.

An update, after hours on the phone trying to get this resolved, the end result was me simply cancelling my account and paying up the early termination charges, a small cost to me compared to the hassle and total waste of time this was. Telecom permanently lost a customer of over 10 years.

Ironically, I was still getting the spam, just not services which I wanted or needed.
