Pricing for 100mbit has been lowered now.

Those prices look better. I was arguing over $15 a month when I shifted.

Then with being able to drop entertainment (which wasn’t available to do when shifted it changes $15 to $5 difference.

New prices make Spark $1 cheaper now without Entertainment, and  with phone line comparing where I am now, but would have to pay for tolls on Spark.

If unplan and those prices were available earlier I probably wouldn’t have shifted, as things can always go wrong.

I’m assuming Landline is plus $10 still, as not in chart.

If switching from the old unlimited plan to the new unplan without the entertainment add-on, what is supposed to happen to your existing Lightbox login? Does it simply stop working, or does it start billing at the normal price?

It will last for the life of the current voucher then expire.

If you have spark mobile, likely you can get lightbox through that too.

Thanks for that.

By the way, I ordered the plan change online a couple of days ago and the email confirmation I got from Spark was very confusing - it said things like "Get ready, fibre's coming!" and "your home... needs to be switched over to Spark's fibre service by an engineer" and that "Your Local Fibre company will be in touch and confirm dates" and started talking about Chorus being involved and all sorts. Clearly this is just a billing change that doesn't involve any changes at the network level so it seems like the wrong (change provider?) emails are being generated from plan changes, or at least in my case. I did send screenshots to the Spark facebook team but whether they will pass the message on I don't know. This would no doubt confuse a lot of customers and lord know there's already enough consumer confusion around fibre already.

I recently moved house from a place in Wellington with copper only to a place in Whanganui with fibre (UFF not Chorus) already installed, and I got the same set of confusing - or maybe confused? - emails.
It was not only me that was confused: when I had a 'Live Chat' with Spark about the date it would happen I got the distinct impression that Spark had treated it as a new install [Chat dialogue:"It looks like the install order is still in progress, you mention though that there is already an ONT on the wall so its a bit strange its not been run as an activation"]

Seems like there are some, err, opportunities for process improvement here, @hio77

😉

Thread bump. I got six months half price when I moved my fibre connection to this address. The six months is almost up (although I have a year long contract). Currently on 100/20 and it's going to cost $104 per month shortly. That table is a little confusing - it shows "120GB+" but I would use more than that. Then next to that it says "Unlimited". So does it mean I would pay $89 per month for Unlimited 100/20? What happens if I've got a contract?

Correct. Once you move past 120GB you’re into the unlimited tier and your plan is capped at $89 regardless of how much data you use beyond the 120GB.

@quickymart you should be able to switch to the Unplan from your current contract, you'll just have a new 12-month contract.

Only wrinkle may be the half-price offer you received, but Spark chat should be able to confirm.

Okay. I might just leave things where they are then - not too keen on another contract. Thanks for the help :)

Would be worth having a chat with the Spark online team to confirm, or perhaps @hio77 could offer some advice?

Now that Unplan Entertainment includes Netflix for the life of the plan, I was interested in switching to this from Unplan, as I pay for Netflix myself now that my initial Spark freebie from a previous contract is up.

However, I notice a difference between the mobile site (accessed from the MySpark app on Android), and the Desktop site.

Desktop:

Mobile:

The mobile site makes no mention of the exclusion if you have previously redeemed a Spark Netflix credit (as I have on a previous plan).

Maybe something for @hio77 to investigate (after any Easter break that is)

UPDATE - Quick Live Chat with Spark reveals - "that was the terms of our old entertainment package but not the new indefinite one we just released at the start of the week. Sounds like our webpage may just need updating and I'll feed that back to the team who manages the page" - so I'm now happily switched over to Unplan Entertainment, and paying less for Netflix than before (and have Lightbox back for the odd show that Mrs GregV watches)

Hi Team

Does anyone know if it is still possible to redeem the 6 month free Netflix offer which came with the 12 month plan prior to this new plan. I signed up to a 12 month plan last year. The page with the option to redeem the code seems to be gone from the myspark account page.

Thanks

Pretty sure I remember reading it had to be redeemed by 14th April, as the new Netflix offer started the following day.
