No. The network is 100% 850MHz with 2100Mhz in those cities.

Even within those cities 850MHz will still deliver you a far better end user experience.

you will prob find that the 2100 network will pop on and off around the place as they do some op testing. the network is there the equipment is in but they dont want it live. some sites will be live some others wont be.

i idea of 2100 would be to get the over seas travelers that have 2100 data cards.

auckland would prob be from orewa to papakura anything out there would prob be 850 only.

they bought the equipment when they did the first build and as its there already why not use it

I get almost constant coverage in Wattle Downs, Auckland. Always have full bars when on the 850 band but cant see with the 2100 only though.

Sites in the launched areas above are live, won't be popping on/off.. that not to say 850 only sites may get 2100 in the future.

The Telecom network is 850 MHz WCDMA. The 2100 MHz is only used for capacity infill and inbound roaming. It's not a new service/product.
