One thing i noticed is the network icon is H, instead of 3G. Anyone else seeing this on their TP2?

Has XT always been HSPA or has it changed recently?

For those flashing new ROMs, i wouldn't recommend the Manila 2.5 (or "2.6") from the Leo. It looks very pretty, but runs a little slow, and the animated weather backgrounds seem to pause the screen when changing tabs etc. Win 6.5 with Manila 2.1 is wonderful, however.

Hi

I have finally tossed my Treo 700 for a Touch Pro 2. Loving it so far. As soon as it arrived I put WM6.5 ROM from EnergyROM with 2.1 Manila on and its been running great. Got to get used to sliding out the keypad rather than having it there all the time.

@fillup can you set your voicemail speed dial? When I set mine though phone settings / Voice mail and text messages I get a network error "cannont save changes to network" and it seems without setting this I cannont set speeddial 1 to be voicemail.

Nice to see some fellow TP2 customizers :-)

I'm still on WWE Europe WM6.5 at the moment, but plan to suss Energy with Manila 2.1 shortly.

@phatbloke specifically what version of Energy ROM have you flashed to? build 21684 seems to get the most positive feedback.

I just tried to set the voicemail number as well and i got the same error message. Maybe instead of 083210, it needs to be in a different format?

The other thing i noticed is The Text messages service center is +64277439010. Is this right? I send and receive texts as per normal, so perhaps this is normal.

In Settings->Personal->Phone->Services->Voice Mail and Text Messages? Yes i can change it. Currently +6421600600 and +6421700700.

It was correct from the beginning though, maybe loaded from the SIM? Speed dial 1 works fine fresh too.

*Edit, of course, i'm still hanging around in the wrong thread......

So

+6421600600 for messages

+6421700700 and voicemail?

Not sure if there is another applicable thread, but since I did start it, well I'm sure we can go off topic :D

@filup you must be Voda hence the 021 so that might have something to do with it

@Damager I'm running EnergyROM_21864_RHODIUM_21.Oct.2009_Standard. As for the voicemail I have tried 08321 and +64(myno) but all with no luck. Txt message no is the same for me and runs fine.

I have a contact entry for voicemail but you cant click the voicemail link from the today screen unless it is set as speed dial 1

Ha! No worries :D I'll have a look around the forums to see if there's a solution to myself and phatbloke's issue.

Have you guys seen the 6.5 'marketplace'? More like a road side strip in a small, rural town. Good potential though :)

That's an excellent description.. Well, i just sort by "Free" and see what's worth getting after that :D Which is nothing at the moment.. Are the products in NZ dollars? My region is set to NZ so must be.. In that case, some of the things for purchase seem to be on the costly side..

It's new though and I'm sure marketplace will improve as time goes on.

Yes, i thought it was very expensive too, especially considering the multitude of WiMo freeware available elsewhere.
