You are referring to MMS - PXT is a Vodafone trademark. Those devices can not do MMS, you can send e-mails with the images if you need.

And please do not use all CAPS. IT IS LIKE SHOUTING ON THE INTERNET.

The feature that you are talking about is Remote Wipe which is present in all Windows Mobile 5 phones (with AKU2) and up. Its actually meant to be used by Enterprises with Exchange Server providing them with the ability to remotely wipe data off the phones their executives might lose. I doubt telecom or anyone else would be able to do wipe your device and your personal details on it unless you received your handset from your company's IT dept who manage such resources.

Hi All,

Well we finally got our Touch's (had Agent's originally but promptly returned them and have been using a Nokia handset temporarily).

Quick Question: Can you change the banner on the main 'today' screen in WM7? (i.e. above the clock where it says "Telecom"and the date?) - on the Agents you could in WM6 (e.g. you could change the word Telecom and put the persons name there instead, or just leave it blank, etc - which was useful when several people have identical phones).

I've had a bit of a look but can't find the setting (if its there)?

The Okta Touch is running Windows Mobile 6. You can change anything on Today by tapping Start | Settings | Today Screen and changing the settings there.

One of the options to show is "Owner Info" for example.

Just want to acknowledge some help Harrylin gave me a few messages back, on the subject of keypad choices for texting. He recommended Touchpal (Google it) and I have to report it is brilliant. Now that I've loaded it up, I wouldn't use anything else. A very intuitive and versatile utility which I reckon leaves the standard keypads for dead.

I am still trying to find the answer to sending group text messages though - has anyone found out how to do it? I've been stuck with the rather slow option of manually adding number to the 'TO' field, which for me, depending on the group I'm trying to reach, can involve up to 100 numbers. There's simply GOT to be a better way - even basic handsets seem to be able to do it, so why not the amazing Touch?

Quick Question for Mauricio or anyone around who knows: Is there an easy way to do a factory default reset to get the Touch & WM back to how it shipped by default? The handset I have has been used/changed by someone (assume it was used to demo or something before being shipped out) and it has some odd things about it that I can't seem to find the settings to reset (e.g. it won't 'wake' if you push & hold the green button, has to be the power button only, unlike the other handset I have which does, etc). Sorry if its a dumb question, in the middle of a full rebuild of my Laptop so don't have the PDF manual available and such right now...

Hold the green and red buttons in and then push the stylus into the reset hole in the bottom. It will ask if you want to reset the device.

I have just replaced my aging Apache with the Okta Touch. I thought the Apache was great, and was expecting to upgrade to the Titan until I discovered that the Titan was the same price as a small country. My Apache had had a thrashing, and was randomly powering off (loose battery connection), and had a cracked screen which disabled some of the touch screen. The battery life had degraded a lot too.

The feature I thought I would miss would be the full QWERTY keypad, where I could write messages easily with two thumbs. WiFi has been handy in the past too, but I didn't think it would be a big deal to lose that, given how much power it seemed to use.

After a couple of days, I am getting use to the Touch keypad (typing with one fingernail again). The predictive text seems better than most. I really miss the "OK" button that was on the Apache. There doesn't appear to be anything I can do about that.
On the plus side, the Touch is smaller and more robust, and does not have an external aerial to open holes in my pockets.

One question I have is, how to transfer my old text messages from my old Apache? From a brief search, the only method I can find is to buy 3rd Party software.

Check out PIM Backup (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705, nice reputable xda-developers link ;)). It's a tiny freeware utility to back up the databases on Windows Mobile which I've been using for several years.
