How long should the outage for the plan change be? Today is my switch over day and so far have had no internet for over an hour. Have restarted the router but possibly need to restart the ont as well?

Just been informed by BigPipe that due to an unspecified delay, we may be without internet until 7pm... Glad I'm at work today but the people at home are going to be annoyed :p

Weird, Mine switched over late at night though I notice no disconnect and the router notes no disconnect. Just one moment I suddenly had gigabit

Just got connection back:

Will have to fiddle with my network configuration this afternoon to see if I can bump that DL up a bit, but even if not still very happy with the upgrade.

What routers are people using with this plan?

I've seen suggestions of a few different models (such as the edgerouter lite), but haven't noticed any mention of speeds from people actually using them on gigabit plans.

Running a Netgear R7000,

Have been following recommendations online but just cant quite break into the 600Mbps range or higher.

Unsure if that is expected around my address or if I actually do have a configuration issue or even if I should replace the router.

you could  plug a PC/laptop  (something with decent specs) into the ONT, create a PPPoE connection, do a speedtest see if you get better speed than your router, then you would have a good starting place...

I've set up a different thread specifically for this - reckon we could have people post the gear they're on and their speedtest results? For bonus points, add whether you're on Chorus or a different LFC (like Enable or UFF).

Hi,

Is there any info about when the other regions may get GB upgrade?  My ISP said that:

"We are working on it but we don't have a time frame."

I am in Nelson.

Thanks

All regions where we offer UFB have been upgraded (or will be over the coming days).
