I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. If you use my Quic signup you can also use the code R570394EKGIZ8 for free setup. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.
Nil Einne:Talkiet:garvani: oh no, good bye go large, youve served me well over the last few years :(.. Bigtime looks like a worthy successor though! :).. go large was limited to 3.5mbit down by the way
Incorrect - Go large was not limited to 3.5mbit down, either by profile, or by the nominal 128kbit up. It is perfectly possible to get just over 9mbit out of Go Large with the 128kbit upstream.
Cheers - N
Rather difficult with TCP however.
Also wasn't Go Large before ADSL2 was launched? How could you get 9mbit out of ADSL1? You can't even get 8mbit out of ADSL1 except in the lab

richms: I think these plans will be very popular, considering what they describe it as is what most ISPs give you, and then have the cheek to charge you per gig as well...
thinhvy: Could anyone please confirm that the price for this plan?is it $60 or $70 per month?as I read on NZ Herald website is $60 but on the Stuff website it say $70 per month so I get confused.

freitasm: ... new unlimited plans with shaping traffic around types of files that consume a lot of bandwidth - videos, Microsoft and Apple updates and mainly things that can't be cached.... NZ$ 59.95 or if you have TotalHome package it's just NZ$10 more on existing package. Speed priority to those that aren't on unlimited plans.
Continued growing footprint of ADSL2+
Moving popular plans to full speed/full speed.

geekiegeek:Adamal:geekiegeek: unlimited download but shaped to hell so you cant download anything large at decent speeds = no point as you probably wont have the speed to use more then 10-15Gb a month anyway.
Heh. My usage on Go Large ADSL1 for December was 170gb.
And how many hours a day did you have to leave your PC running for. I average around 120GB per month and never leave my PC on over night and mostly only download on the weekends.
