What speed are you paying for?

Need more infomation:

What is the line rate in your modem is it ok/normal?

Only international affected, to which countries have you checked Australia, UK?

Are you getting this speed all the time or only at certain times?

Downstream Rate: 15160 kbps
Upstream Rate: 1209 kbps

Speed within NZ/AUS is normal

just seems to be some locations in the US, i notice it alot when trying to stream 128k radio.. it buffers alot

tends to happen all day even after 12am

What does tracert to the address of the radio stream look like?

What does a speedtest.net to San Jose (Smug Mug server) look like (West coast US just below San Fransciso)?

Yes, int'l speed is very very very bad at the moment.

I restarted my telecom supplied router (the new Technicolour one), and here is the result I got:

From LA Internode:

This is from Sydney / Optus (on a normal day I can get 10+mbps from Sydney)

Don't know what is going on, national speed is fine

I hadn't noticed during general browsing or streaming video over the last week but just done some speed tests now and i'm getting between 1/2 - 1/3 my normal speed. National speeds are the same as usual.

UK:

Smug mug in CA

I'd report your issue to Telecom via their online contact us form here
http://www.telecom.co.nz/helpandsupport/other/contact

I don't seem to be having the same problem at all at home, Telecom in Auckland.

LA is slower but that's due to the latency, 4Mbit on a single threaded download with 200ms latency seems about right.

I have been having some issues with streaming for the last few days.

A tracert to google.com and youtube.com show an interesting result.  But tracert to something like reddit.com is fine.

Just did a tracert and getting the same as you, between 1100-1200ms going to youtube on mdr-fid-int.akbr5.global-gateway.net.nz

Trying to watch iPlayer now and buffering all the time whereas usually it never buffers.

Seems like I don't have a massive latency issue with mdr-fid-int.akbr5.global-gateway.net.nz,
but look at my speed test to LA...

Not good
