Since updating my gs2 to ICS, there is a small bug where when I take a picture, it doesn't show in the little preview box bottom right.

As well as this, it no longer makes a shutter sound although this may be a setting. This means I don't always know if I got the picture without going into the gallery after each shot.

Anybody else noticed this?
Troubleshooting tips?

I don't have these issues

Have you done a partition wipe and hard reset after ICS upgrade?

John

Nope, probably should. Hard reset - reset to factory? Was hoping not to. The inconvenience of this bug is less than reorganising my phone.

And I'm not familiar with the term partition wipe.

Thanks for your input John

Further testing shows the sound is now influenced by the phone being on silent, whereas I'm sure it used to make a sound even if phone was on silent, so that's fine, just the no preview happening.

That's always been the case - no shutter sound when the phone is on silent.

I have the same issue with the photo preview as well, for what it's worth.

Weird, I'm 98% certain it used to make a shutter sound even on silent. Interesting to hear you have the preview issue too though. Stock telecom Ics?

Stock Vodafone ICS, which is a slightly later build than Telecom's.  Haven't done a wipe/reset yet (essentially flashed ICS just before getting on a plane and have been away on business for four days) but would be interested if that solves the issue.

Camera - Settings - Reset (down the bottom) fixed it for me.
