Hi,

I bought skinny SIM, anybody got  the settings for a skinny sim in a telecom M181 using the telecom connection manager, or do i need to download a skinny app? or something else?

It should work. I run a XT and 2D SIM in a MF626 without any problems or modifications..

nope, plugged the sim in and it failed to connect.
Will contact skinny support :)

Yep, the connection manger also requires a number

Conntacted skinny support in Wednesday and.....still waiting..... skinny by name skinny by nature from the looks....

A couple of things for someone browsing this thread later on:
1. You need to ring skinny up to activate the SIM if you don't havea  phone to put it in to activate it.
2. You will need to ring skinny to change the plan to a pure data plan
3. The newer version of Telecom Connection Manager uses a different dialing number , so if you do copy the settings off the telecom profile , it wll work for a little while and then error.... :) use *99# as the dial number( as already posted)

Oh and for speeds , i have speedtested @ 1800kb/s

Thanks for that.  Data activation is on our roadmap.  The final solution will let you activate on a tablet and choose Love Bytes instead of Loose Lips, but that needs a network change on XT which isn't scheduled for a while.  We're looking to see what we can do in the interim.  Meanwhile, as you say just give the reps a call and they will sort you out.
