Just received this information:

Telecom Music for less

Telecom announced today that it has reduced the cost of downloads from its Music Store to $1.99 from $3.50.

Telecom Head of Content, Carolyn McKenzie says the ‘any where any time’ flexibility of Music Store coupled with the new price will be particularly popular over the summer break.

“We’ve just made it easier for our customers to access and enjoy the 620,000 titles we have on offer. Whether you’re relaxing on the beach or enduring an eight hour car journey you can access new music – Telecom’s Music Store is open all hours.”

Telecom’s Music Store offers a dual download service giving customers the freedom to download the track to their mobile phone, download it on up to three PCs via Telecom’s online music store and also legally burn copies on up to five CDs – all for the one price.

And there’s no fear of downloading the wrong song with Music Store’s handy ‘preview before you buy’ option.

For more information on the Telecom Music Store go to www.telecom.co.nz/musicstore.

LOL !!!  It's not like they had much choice in the matter with everybody else priced below $2 per track.
