As the title says, is there anyway to do this? I have just switched from 2degrees 3 days ago and I am already sick of it. If you've got a text/call/data pack there really isn't any need to be told this every single time you make a call.

Actually the minimum topup is $10.

I would appreciate seeing this message removed myself, Credit during the month is not required to use the package I am on and I'm sick of being bugged about it.

I would topup but it would be a waste of $10 as I am due to start work at a major competitor next week which has a phone and plan included.

I complained about this to Telecom while I was on the free package stuff, and they gave me a credit of $10 to stop the messages. :)

I just called them about it and he told me that while the message is playing, the phone you are calling will start ringing regardless, so it doesn't delay your call at all. It wouldn't be so bad if this was the case, but I just tested it and that doesn't seem to be correct.

And I didn't get any offer to have my phone topped up! Guessing I will just have to switch back to 2degrees, I really don't have the patience for this haha.

You are correct, the phone does not start to ring until the message stops.

Was thinking yesterday how annoying this message is when you have free minutes!

hopefully it can be removed

It's gone! Thank you Telecom. You have no idea how happy you've made me.

I stopped getting the message after I put larger amount of credit on the phone. There must be a threshold where it kicks in if you go below it. I try & keep at least $100 on the phone to cover the occasional  international calls.

I believe $10 was the trigger point. If your balance was => $10, your call proceeded as normal. > $5 but < $10 and you would get a 'Your prepaid account balance is less than $10 message. Under $5 and you got the 'under $5' message.
