Just posting to see if anyone's got a clue on this before I call Telecom's help desk.

I stopped yesterday at a Telecom store and changed my existing plan ($59/100 minutes/300 SMS/1GB) for a new open Smartphone plan ($59/500 minutes/unlimited SMS/1GB).

Now, I know I could have gone for the cheaper plan with 150 minutes (I only use about 30 a month) and add a $20 for an extra 1GB so paying the same but with 2GB instead - might do this later.

So my questions is this: since midnight my voice minutes and SMS both were reset to 0, but my mobile data usage continues on. Shouldn't my mobile data be reset to zero as well?

Anyway, might change my plan next month to a lower voice allowance and add the extra 1GB - unless I can do more than one plan change a month?

I think it will carry on because you have the same allowance for data. The voice and text allowances will have been removed and re added which will reset them.

Last I knew there is a business rule that you cannot changeplans more than once In a month. This rule has been bent / broken for me in? the past. So I would say it's worth trying

Thanks... It makes sense.

As for a second plan change, I am not in a hurry to do it as it works for me now, but paying the same for more data is more value for me, so can do it later in January.

Just remember the lower plan only has a 500mb data allowance so 1.5gb/mth with data addon

Oh, yes, that's right. Still, more data for the same price.

Wouldn't it be $10/month cheaper?  Open Smartphone $29 + $20 Data = $49, which is less than $59.
Less minutes but as you reckon you only use 30 minutes/month...

Yes, I got my wires crossed.

So $10 cheaper, 50% more data, 150 voice minutes.
