I moved my Broadband to Telecom recently, ended up being without land line or broadband for 2-3 days, should have learnt but I thought it was just a miscommunication as advised by Telecom.
So, decided to move my mobile number by going to a store Thursday evening, was told porting will be done in 4 hours. It was finally ported Friday evening.  Have been sending text messages to my friends etc but never got any reply from anyone. So, decided to call few of them this afternoon and they all have been replying but I'm not receiving.  Did a few tests, my number can only receive text messages from telecom network.  Called telecom, they said something went wrong with porting and nothing can be done till Monday, isn't this ridiculous? Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this??

I had the same problem a couple years ago when I ported my number to Vodafone just before a weekend, I just had to wait it out and they fixed it on the Monday.

Did you receive any missed text messages when the problem was fixed or only the one's sent after the fix came through?

Report the problem to Telecom straight away. I have encountered this issue with about 3 ports this year and it takes them a few working days to correct.

I assume you've rung the Mobile Helpdesk on 0800 800 163 and got them to check what's going on?

I rang 123 on Saturday, was transferred to complex technical support who said porting team need to fix this problem. Called 0800 800 163, lady I spoke to says porting team have fixed the problem and I need to restart my phone, she also reset my number or something. Now, I can't even make any calls, lol. It's become worse, still on the phone, she is transferring me to complex technical support.
