Hi There

I have a Telecom T Stick that is the $59 deal with 2 GB Data, over the  last 2 days it has been experiencing very slow download speeds compared to the other times I have used them. I still have 500 GB data left.
Speeds normally 200+K downloads, now 20-50K.
Anyone no of the cause ??
Area is Te Puke
Thanks in advance
Regards

Pretty sure the cellsite is being upgraded for LTE 4g (not 100% sure) this week so think the cellsite is running off a temporary thus the slower speed

Thanks for that quick reply, I did find this on Telecoms website.

4G LTE TrialsAs of 7 December, we will begin testing   4G LTE technology in selected parts of Wellington,  Auckland,  southern Hawkes Bay and a small area in Rotorua.  This first phase will run from December until mid-February and will focus on testing how the network performs.

Customer trials will then begin in mid-February 2013, also in selected parts of Auckland and Wellington. A handful of consumers, small and medium businesses and Gen-i  customers have been selected to help us run data tests using 4G LTE. We will share more information on the journey of the customer trials throughout early 2013.

Says knothing about TePuke though.

Is there a webpage where I can seee if Telecoms working in this area ?/
Thanks in advance
Regards

The LTE trial would have no influence on performance for other users as it uses different bands and cell sites - and only a small number of people have access to it anyway so it wouldn't impact on anyone else's speeds.

Do you know if there are more people in your area lately, incoming visitors?

to upgrade the site may mean new attennas + accessories have to be installed on the site - thus having a temporary site put up which may have limited capacity etc

Thanks for your replys.
Te Puke always has people coming and going, the oncoming Kiwifruit season will bring 1000+, but I havnt seen any extra people around yet. Saying that I still get good speeds when the season is going anyway.
