I have Telecom R22 running Android 4.0.

I'm trying to set it up as the wifi personal hotspot to share the 3G connection with my laptop and iPad 2 3G.

The phone is connecting fine to 3G and I can browse and download no problem. But, when I enable portable Wi-Fi hotspot, it will not let other devices access the internet though these devices are authenticated and connected to the phone.

This phenomenon is new and unique to skinny, as I just switched from 2dm to skinny. When I was on 2dm, I didn't have this issue.

If anyone could shed any light on it, much appreciated!!

Hi, are you trying to connect multiple devices to the same wifi hot spot?
Are you sure you have the right settings on each device i.e. password and security methods?
Have you tried to delete the details of the wi fi hot spot from each device, change the name and password of the one on your mobile providing the hotspot and just start over again?

Check the owners manual for the phone, it could be that multiple connections to the phone may make it struggle to cope espcially with low network speed. (Have you tried using speedtest on the handset to see your connection speed).

Thanks guys!

It works now!

I think it was to do with APN type.
I included 'dun' and fixed.

Thanks!
