Does anybody know what network Skinny uses to roam on in the States ? Do you need to do anything special before you leave NZ to be able to roam over there ?
Thanks.

I'd say AT&T by default if they use the same agreements as their parent company, Telecom.

Im with Skinny but geesze the roaming prices seem horrendous plus no data which im sure is important for more folk who require functionality for smartphones.
I always swear by finding a local Telecomunication partner to use one of there Sim cards which would be a lot more cost effective.
Albeit the trouble of notifying friends and colleagues your number but that shouldnt be hard.

Remember Telecom does a $10/day data roaming to the USA. If you're there for less than a week it's worth it instead of picking a local SIM.

Skinny doesn't seem to be part of this deal.

XT prepaid isn't either. The $6/10 roaming deals only apply to post paid customers

Hi

You should be good to go in the USA - no setup required.  Rates are$1.00 Call to NZ
$2.00 Calls within USA or to other countries

$0.70 per Text
$1.00 per minute to receive calls
We don't have data roaming.

Cheers

Paul
