So i go to the fibre address checker page on telecom nz and enter my street address. It gives the green tick to say fibre is available at my place and then I get ' Ooops. Sorry, it looks like we're having some technical issues with this tool at the moment.'
Ive had this issue for weeks now. Do I just ring up telecom?

Calling is your best bet ^_^
When you call through say New Connection
It'll get you to suprisingly, new connections who can run a prequalification and find out whats happening with your address. From their they can go over all the details and processes for the connection and organise it if you like.
Although fair if you have overhead wiring you'll be out of luck =( We don't connect addresses that are fed overhead currently

Unless the LFC isn't Chorus?.. where they will be trenching anyway? Or just say no across the board?

We don't have resale contracts with Non-Chorus LFCs. But we don't connect overhead addresses at all currently. This may change once a voice over fibre solution is completed but I am unsure at this stage
