Every time I take a phone call at home the internet is cut off. After the call is terminated the internet comes back up. This has happened for a while. Does anyone know if this is something wrong with the wifi modem, phone line or something else?

This is a problem with your home wiring. You either need a filter installed, or the filter is installed in the wrong position or you should have a master splitter installed.

Either that or your cordless phone is using the 2.4Ghz band (as some older ones do).  But it's more than likely the first one.

Is there a lot of static on the line? Try listening to the dial tone, this can be a good indicator of poor wiring affecting the phone line.

Dangnabbit you beating me to saying you need a Master Filter.

Depending on if you are in AKL or WLG we can point you to our local Geekzone master filter installers CoffeeBaron (AKL) or Cyril7 (WLG) as they do a great job.

Also email me pl at telecom.co.nz with your home phone number and I can run a line test to see what the story is.  But I would say it is most likely internal wiring requiring a master filter.

But there has been a lot of rain recently, that can play hell on the lines.

My guess is either one of those filters has gone faulty, or no longer connected, or there are too many filters (how many are there), the real answer as mentioned is to get a master filter installed

Get a master filter and it would never be a problem again. And you would probably get a significant increase of speed.

and half naked pretty people will feed you grapes, and fan you with palm leaves.....
Actual results may vary,

But seriously new Master Filter/In line Splitter = happy connection = easy to troubleshoot in future.
