the helpdesk says "due to planned maintenance on our network last night....you may need to restart your modem.."

I had to restart mine. Anyone else? Or is it just me?

I haven't noticed anything but apparently one of my phonelines has a fault on it currently which means reduced ADSL speeds. I hardly think that is a nationwide issue though (I'm not that important :P ).

it must just be in my area. I had to restart another modem connected to the same DSLAM this morning.

From the xtra help site

Planned Outages
Planned network upgrades daily from Monday 5th March until Thursday 13th March mean that, for a short time, Xtra Broadband will not be available for some customers. Work will be completed between 1am and 6am each day, and you may lose connection to the network for about 10 minutes at a time. After this, you may need to reboot your modem by switching it off and restarting it.
