A friend has a Palm Treo 600, which he bought secondhand off Trademe. Being based in Wellington, I cant see the phone for myself, and I have never actually owned a Palm OS unit with a phone component.

Step by step, how does he change the callback number for SMS? At the moment, when he texts someone, the see his number as being the sender - but if they hit 'reply' it goes to the old owner of the phone.

TIA

Big Tony.

Hey Tony,

Its a dreary Sunday so did a bit of surfing... try here check out Step 8. Just hope this sets the default number to use each time. I know the Sanyos have an individual setting but the Treo 600 seems to only let you do it during the creation of a message.

Hope it sticks!

Sorry, I have already Googled the problem, and visited that page, but the Treo 600 is a Palm OS unit, the 700wx (which I own) is a Windows Mobile unit. They are very very different.

Thanks for the try!

There possibly could be a namming issue here as that can in some of the phones drive the call back number.

Fair enough. I'll see if I can get my hands on one at work tomorrow off a colleague though I don't like my chances.

thanks guys. re-namming might be the go, as the user is tech minded, and has probably been through all the user available options.
