Hello,

I received the Telecom Technicolour VDSL modem today (VDSL connection not happening til Monday). I can connect to the internet fine (using ADSL), but my connected Photocopier and Synology Diskstation, I cannot get them to show in the modem settings at all. I am unable to print to the copier and I cannot open the Synology  page from the browser.
Can anyone give me some advice on what to try?
If this means anything, the Heading PPoE is disconnected and says "Concentrator not reachable". I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Thanks for any help,
David

I suspect that as you are still on ADSL that is the reason for the PPPoA which is the standard protocol for ADSL (for some reason, probably historic, ADSL uses ATM legacy coding instead of Ethernet)

Thanks and regards

Shouldn't that PPPoE error only be to do with the DSL Interface? Surely the routing should still be working independant of that?

I can reach all my LAN CPE just fine, in the same setup as Davoid.

Davoid - do you have these devices setup for DHCP, or are they Manually configured?
If Manually you may have the wrong Gateway IP which should be 192.168.1.254

Thank you both for the replies, I had already changed the gateway address to the 192.168.1.254, but till no luck. Under the Technicolour web menu and "Home Network" the image showing the Ethernet ports only shows the PC connection which allows me internet access. All the other ports are blank, should they still show something connected even if I cannot connect to them?

Also notice that the connection lights on the back of the Technicolour and the photocopier are green, implying they are connecting?

Thanks again,
David

Well just to let anyone know, but have solved the issue. I set the photocopier up to receive the ip address automatically and when rebooted the router located the copier and I could use from there. I then went back in and set it back to manual settings and gave it the same ip address that was set automatically and it all works fine (keep my fingers crossed).
I then ran the diskstation software and gave it the same ip address with the last number one less and it is now working fine.
