Hey GeekZone,

This is probably my first post here AFAIK so go easy on me. I just changed to Telecom XT from 2degrees and was previously using an app/widget on android called "2degrees toolbox (ad-free)" by Jordan Thoms but it doesn't appear to have a Telecom XT equivilent.

I saw "NZ phone account widget" by Matthew Winters but the screenshots of the app in use look hideous. Not sure if the screenshots are an accurate reflection of the app though. Also it has a free and paid version and the app itself has a LOT of permissions so don't really want to install the app to trial it unless I have no other choice.

For that matter does Telecom have any first party apps you can install like 2degrees has?

With Telecom at the moment it's browser based, go to Your Telecom. It would be quite straight forward to build an app to provide the same info.

Thanks for the tip. I just installed the app by Winters and it won't let me purchase the paid version saying my version of the app store is not compatible. I am running a Nexus 4 with 4.3 from OTA so I guess my market is too new?

UPDATE: Aaaaaaand as soon as I write the above I try again for like the fourth time and it lets me inapp upgrade to the premium for $1.99

There is what appears to be a Telecom app on play store. Essentially it appears to work buy opening a Browser window on your Telecom.

I think that it's a roaming app. You can with the installed Chrome browser go to the Your Telecom website and create a shortcut to the fones desktop that acts as a short cut to the Your Telecom website. I did it on N4 when I first got it. One of the guys in the Telecom store showed me how to do it..

It would be nice if you could get a "Your Telecom " . I saw once that there is instructions on the Telecom website to do this with IOS but the only one for Android ids here

I just pulled the "Your Telecom" APK off my phone, try installing it and see how it goes. Essentially it's just a browser shortcut linking to http://m.telecom.co.nz/yt, you'll need to make sure unknown sources is ticked in Settings > Security > Unknown Sources. Run this over 3G and it'll log you straight in without the need for a username / password.

From my understanding an actual app is coming later this year / early next.

Actually something is a little weird. The App I downloaded from Playstore  is a app called "Usage for Telecom Mobile NZ made by Vivnet Technology" From what Michael has said above it seems tp be the same app as it functions as a shortcut to the Your Telecom mobile site. The interstingthing is taht it still shows as a search on all my apps. ( I don't have my Telecom phone with me). However a general search in playstore does not  bring it up.

I am wondering if it is in fact Bogus and should uninstall.
