Hi guys,

It seems Telecom is getting a new LG mobile, namely the LG LX550 (as listed here on LG's Site)

I stumbled across it after having a gander at the new Clever Toys campaign & noticed Gus was holding a mobile I hadn't seen before.

Note:The phone features in the 2nd Wallpaper download.

Seems a pretty cool phone, no stand-out features that shock & awe or distances itself from the current top of the line phones, although it is the first model in a long time to put out an FM radio other than Nokia. Still its good to see a new handset soon to roll out, first one of the new Financial Year unless I miss my mark.

Here's the Gus image:

The below images are from the Global LG website.

A slight digression, I know, but after seeing the ad and web site for these 'clever toys' I'm still totally dumbfounded as to what this campaign is all about. What the devil are Telecom's marketing people smoking?

Indeed. Are they trying to attract the teens and forgot about the older ones? And I've never heard of this one before. "Clever toys" are actually a bunch of furry cudly animals?

Yea I did wonder about the target audience, I do think they are targeting whats called "Active Youth".... people who want to appear smart and knowledgable amoung their peers etc etc.... just a stab though.... because you're right, I didn't see any "older" extras in the background of any of the shots.

But yea, back on topic :)
