My s2 is dead and I'm just wondering when they did 2 years. I signed up on a 2 year term which was to expire in a couple of months.
Had hoped it would have lasted till the note 3 was available.

NZVengeance: When I was working as a salesmen our warranty company pulled our mobile phone warranties for the following reason
"If a customer is on a contract with a telecommunications provider, the provider is obligated to provide that customer with a working phone for the period of the contract"
You could direct this to Telecom/Vodafone members here but that's what we were told.
My understanding from this was that if a repair falls outside of the Manufacturers warranty then it becomes telecom/Vodafone cost to fix the phone or provide you will an appropriate replacement so long as you are under term.
NZVengeance: You might very well be completely correct. I was just passing on what we were told. This is why I directed the customer to talk to Telecom and ask them.
perhaps they could do him a deal with a early resign and waive the ETCs.
Just saw this: http://www.consumer.org.nz/news/view/warranty-wrangles
"Telecom's Frans van Zoggel told us: “Telecom is totally committed to upholding our customer’s right under the CGA and we’re disappointed to hear about this incident, which does not reflect our policy on faulty mobile phones. I have personally apologised to Aimee.""
This seems to indicate that telecom are commited to fixing a phone under contract.
Correct me if you think I have misread this.
NZVengeance: That makes sense.
I wonder then why we were given that description. perhaps they individual from our warranty company was misinformed as to the core reason for the removal of extended warranties on phones.
