Hello, I just wanted to rant a bit about Telecom...

So 12 weeks, I ordered VDSL. They replied back saying we'll have to wait up to 4 weeks before we get it. I waited...
4 weeks later, I get an email from Telecom saying there's an error and that we will have to wait a while.
So more waiting, and I'm getting impatient.
So I did a live chat with one of the customer services on the Telecom site, and they said that our line is only ADSL, and not ADSL-2, so they can't upgrade us to VDSL until they've upgraded our line to ADSL-2 and that we should contact our line company. So why the hell didn't they tell us this earlier?
I then rung up the line company, and they said that an order hasn't been placed for ADSL-2 or VDSL...
I rang Telecom about what the line company has said, and Telecom said that the order was stuffed out and hadn't been sent out to the line company... What. So they said that they'll fix the order, and everything, and that we have to wait up to 4 weeks again; we rung them up 2 days ago.

So now, I'm waiting again even more......

Please Telecom, get your s**t together.

thanks.

Sorry to hear about that Alvin. Looks like we haven't got it right here :(
If you PM me your details I can look into it.
From what you are saying, you're one of the few people left on our old network, and need to be migrated to the new one which offers the VDSL service. Unfortunately we are getting down to the last customers on the old network, and if your line was simple to migrate, then it would have been done a long time ago.

The actual order for the VDSL service cannot be placed with Chorus until the line is migrated. I'm not at all sure why you would be told to call Chorus. They have nothing to do with the migration.

Like I said, PM me your details and I will find out what is happening and why. I will also double check that you can get VDSL because we do get the odd line that is fairly borderline with being able to get VDSL, and once we place the order with Chorus they come back and reject it.

My views are my own, and may not necessarily represent those of my employer.

Oh, my bad, I had thought they told my Dad to call Chorus, but my Dad said he just rung them.
I will PM you soon.
