From their press release today:

Telecom is extending its popular $10TXT until March 2010.

With $10TXT Telecom customers can send up to 500 text messages each month to any mobile in New Zealand and pay no more than $10.

“$10TXT has proven to be a big draw-card for New Zealanders. We want to give our customers the guarantee that they can continue to text on the same great deal for the next three years,” says Telecom GM for Consumer Marketing Kevin Bowler.

“Because $10TXT is applicable to texts sent to all mobiles in New Zealand it also means our customers can text all their friends and family in New Zealand – not just their Telecom ones – without worrying about cost.”

All Telecom mobile consumer customers* are eligible for $10TXT no matter what consumer plan they are on.

How $10TXT works

There is no monthly minimum fee or need to sign up. All customers on Telecom prepaid and post paid plans qualify for $10TXT.

Texts are priced at 20c each up to 50 texts per month. The next 450 are free. Texts over 500 in a given month are then charged at 20c each.

I wondered about this the other day as the end of 2007 was drawing very close and they usually make an announcment at may/june. but 2010, that's very forward thinking!

Of course just remember that the boost TXTdeals and megatxt are NOT guaranteed, as recent change showed. It was certainly advantageous to all but the insane txtaholics whom should really be doing something better with their time anyway.

Don't worry Mauricio you have a little bit of credibility from the rest of us!! More credibility than those that insist on forgetting every gramatical and spelling rule.

joe5600: is that ment to intimidate me?

No its not ment to intimidate you at all. In popular internet culture, a smiley signifies the intention of statement - note my big rolling around laughing smiley I added!

I have never threatened anyone with being banned. We either ban or we dont.

I just found what you said funny, and thought it was worth some parody! (Certainly not looking to ban you!)

Good on Telecom for extending the promo so long!

Really, if you didn't trust my first post and I am just someone else, why would trust the confirmation post from another user?

I've seen you around here for a while, and some of the posts were, well, interesting. I think you got a lot of help from other users here and you should by now have formed an opinion.
