Hi I don't understand why the VDSL router supplied by Telecom says no ipv6 ... what does that mean?

There are no immediate plans to release IPv6, it's in development but not a huge demand.

So the currently shipping modems don't include it.

My understanding is that the VDSL router reportedly supports IPv6 (according to Technicolor), but we have administratively disabled it for the following reasons: 1) we don't yet support IPv6, 2) we have not tested it and made sure that it works well and that we do not have any security concerns.

When Telecom adds IPv6 to its Broadband spec, more than likely we will provide a firmware update for the later model devices to enable it. Just don't expect it to work on your old old D-Link 302G (yes we know there are customers out there who still use this device and other equally old equipment).

My views are my own, and may not necessarily represent those of my employer.
