Called on 025 number today, our of my phone book without realising it was on 025 number. Number rang through without any message or anything. I thought they would have either cut these off completly or advised of the new number rather than ringing through directly.

Interesting

Mine still "works" too but it was transferred on the same day, I dial 025 and my 027 rings and yes no message...

My other number which is still allocated to an 025 phone (a full-size Motototorola BRICK) just says it's not connected, but the mailbox is still there in the system though can only be accessed by dialling from another 027 mobile.

Those that upgraded to 027 before the 025 network was cut off get free number diversion for 12 months

Jughead: Those that upgraded to 027 before the 025 network was cut off get free number diversion for 12 months

And after that 025 customer were meant to get an additional 12months of a recorded message, "this number has changed, in future please replace 025 with 027" or similar.

Be interesting if these customers will get this message after 12months?

I figured they would move everyone to the message once the network closed down.

Sorry to clarify (before the 025 network shutdown) the message was there for all previous 025 customer who upgraded to 027 for a period of two years. Customers who call the 025 number where only diverted for 12months, other than that they just got the recorded message.

We have a couple of old 025 phones and when you turn them on, they display the out of service message (the one that you get when you are in the middle of nowhere with no service and no nothing).

Well, that would be right, what with there not being any 025 service any more! ;-)

I believe you will be diverted for the 1st 6 months and the next lot of 6 months the recorded message you stated will answer.

Starts from the day you upgraded from your 025 to 027.

What I stated was correct before the 025 network closure. Now as the 025 network has closed, Telecom are unable to offer this 025 to 027 diversion message.
