I'm trying to watch some nicovideo livestreams.

This link in particular:
http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv160803566

The stream stutters nonstop, any other lifestreams stutter as well. Video (non-livestream) buffers for a good 30 minute before I can watch anyway.

I asked few friends to try out the link for me, it seems to be working fine for others on Orcon and Vodafone. My friend that is also on Telecom tells me he has problems streaming as well.

It is definitely not the website as it was fine and super smooth 2 days ago.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm seeing huge latency there via 1gbit business broadband, so it's not Telecom specifically, it'll be all ISP's to a degree. On my Telecom home VDSL connection it works no problems also.

I've noticed some transit issues between India and the US which involved a large amount of jitter on Japanese hops so maybe there is an issue with some infrastructure there.

No doubt the Green party would claim it is as a result of radiation leaks.
