I see telecom have them for 100 bucks with all sorts of free data add on's , and the warehouse have a today specail for 85 bucks with the free data add on's as well ....what I cant find out in the technical description, is are they wireless N or just BG ?

While it's a cheap fone it does have a few issues.. I would not buy one again..

thanks Andrew...looking at those spec I would have bought one but reading through the thread old3eyes posted it might be just an average phone (but a cheap one at that) so i will think it through .

If you can get your hands on a Motorola Moto G  that sounds like a good bargain fone.  At present not available here  apart from Mobicity.  Motorola don't seem to respond on their FB page  for requested from AU and NZ about this fone..

Not quite as cheap but has anyone had a play with the Telecom R880H?  Looks quite interesting

Just do a Google search for "review Moto G" and there you will find plenty of them..

The G isn't 4G capable, so VF & Telecom may be hesitant to stock it as a new device, especially given that there don't seem to be _any_ Motorola devices stocked by either company. No NZ distributors?

I asked Motorola on their FB page and they say it will be sold in NZ, they don't say when  so best guess is late January / February..

Verizon in the US that has a LTE only policy will be  selling the Moto G on their prepay service.
