Anyone have any ideas when Telecom are going to release the 4.3 update?  Also anyone had much success with 4G on their Z1 yet?  Ive turned it on a couple of times but can never find any 4G networks.  I found one today out Te Atatu Peninsula but the signal was utter crap.  Tried when I was in town in the weekend and walking down Queen St I didnt find it either..  Most weird!

Telecom don't release the update, they test, get any changes made, test again, then approve. Sony then rolls out the update. It all depends on how long they take to test.

I wonder if they might skip the 4.3 update and go straight to 4.4 KitKat?

No issues with Telecom 4G on the Z1 - I get 3-4 bars on Queen Street and have 4G reception most times I look at the phone around Auckland (CBD, North Shore and Henderson)

Do you have 4G always selected in your network settings?

Hmm strange.. Yes I have it set at the default. Just rarely ever seem to hook into 4g.. Not really an issue for me :)

I doubt that's going to happen... I got 4.3 about 10 days ago.

can't you just plug-in the USB cable, download the Sony software and update it from the internet?

Im guessing Telecom still has to approve updates since its a telecom branded one. Not really planning on re-flashing it to a non-branded one to get them earlier :)
