I have noticed that today, I am unable to send out emails via telecom / yahoos xtra smtp settings. Although I can log onto the pop server to download emails, and can also log into xtras webmail system, when using outlook and sending and email, I get a popup box to enter my login details. All the login details are correct, and I am using all the details on this page. http://help.telecom.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/32590 and they are all correct.
I can therefore only assume something is wrong at telecoms end. I have multiple devices using the same settings and they are all coming up with the same login box.
Anyone else having this problem. I initially thought that yahoos system had been hacked again and my password had been changed, but as I can log into webmail with that password, that can't be the reason.

I am having the same problems using Thunderbird and also on my mobile. Noticed it about 2 hours ago. Have to use webmail for sending. I hope they fix the problem soon.
