This is certainly related to the voice mail system - you should contact Telecom and ask them to reset it for you.

I did, I did.
I swear to god I did, last time, last month, and ..

even today again, called them asked to reset my voicemail, they say as usual "wait 5 minutes", "I'll call back again to confirm", they never call back, and the message doesn't disapear.

the thing is, when I turn flight mode on, and soft-reset, it doesn't disapear which means it's 100% telecom related.
BUT HOW CAN I GET READ off this notification ?

should I just sink it in the bath !Yell

If they don't ring back to confirm (in a timely manner) or don't look into it properly... Ask them to add notes on the account memo, get a case number (if they have them), and start asking for T numbers and/or managers.

I had the opposite issue where voicemail alerts were not being trigged on the handset and it was resolved in less than 5 minutes.

ahaa.

but that's what I've been doing since the problem started.
as mentioned in my reply above, they don't call back and notification doesn't disapear.

I'll try to call tonight ask for referrence or job number so I can guarantee somone to call back and follow up on this issue.

This might be the cause and the solution :

I callled telecom now and they found that this type of device isn't capable of being on the prepay network, ans as she says it should be the cause of these notification appearing.

So my phone has to move to account plan to be able to work without notification.

the thing made me abit annoyed that she sayd "we will disconnect your number by next week if it's still on prepay plan"
"it's one of the telecom terms not to have inappropiate devices on specific network".

so if that was the case, why the guy who got this connected on prepay hasn't been denied ?

anyway, I'll be going to Telecom store and get this phone on account plan, and sleeeeep.

I'll be updating with the results later.

Cellsec or Caller Secretary is the Telecom term, while Voicemail is the Vodafone term for the service.

As for a Job number, Telecom call them Service Orders.

Errr. I doubt this will solve. The voice mail service is the same, regardless of being on account or prepay, and regardless of the model.

I know, I was in the team who developed it for Telecom.

I also forgot to say, that I asked her to remove or disable the cellphone secretary service.
she said that she will do it but she's sure that the problem will keep hapening as long as the phone on prepay plan.

I believe you know more than her, so if you still work for telecom, or know whoever there can you get them to solve it out for me?

thanks for your reply.

* if whoever needs my contact details, send me email on the link above and I'll reply with my cellphone number.

No, I do not work for Telecom, or ever worked for Telecom. I used to work for Unisys, which provides the voice platform for this and some other services. I worked there for eight years.

I have experianced this problem before, I resolved by ringing from another phone & leaving a message on your number, you then call your voice mail, listen to the message in full however do not delete it, after listening press * to drop to the menu then * again to drop to next menu and then once more * until the system says thank your and good bye. Call the voice mail again and it will say one old message, listen to the message in full then this time delete it and then * to drop to the next menu * again and contine with the * until it says thank you and good bye. Hopefully within 2 minutes the notification will go. I did this after Telecom had reset the notification flag within the telecom system

in my previous request, this fix was suggested, but the "Alpha Geek" said
freitasm: It should not fix it - I know because I coded the "*" function in the TNZ voice mail. I also wrote the specs for the fix for the phantom callback, which happens in a very special situation...

and I beleive him.
