Hello

I own a domain name  mycompany.co.nz (not real name).  I have emails sent to that name redirected to my xtra account.  I had Thunderbird set up so that the "From" and "Reply To" fields in my outgoing email optionally looked like they were coming from me@mycompany.co.nz and not from me@xtra.co.nz.

Now that Telecom has changed to SSL, the server won't accept emails that aren't from me@xtra.co.nz.

Does anyone know if Telecom will allow me to send out emails "From"/"Reply to"  me@mycompany.co.nz?
I did try calling Telecom but I didn't want to wait an hour not to get an answer.

Regards

Log in to your account through the webmail portal and have a look at account settings there. From memory there's a setting for that but I can't recall where.

Perhaps it was something to do with authorising your domain name account to send through the xtra account. hmm. Will have a look tomorrow.

Yeah who is the email provider for your domain? Why not use their smtp server?

Receiving and sending emails from my xtra account is more convenient for me.
