Hi there

I am not receiving texts from certain numbers for some reason, I recently switched from 2degrees to Telecom and asked for me number to be transferred aswell. I was not able to receive texts from one 021 number but I am able to from another 021 number.

Any help would be appreciated.

When did you port your number?  From personal experience, SMS should work normally 24 hours after a number is ported successfully.

Do you have an iPhone... if so turn iMessage off and then on again. Then try again.

I would say get your friend to ring up the mobile helpdesk (depending on which provider they are with) and say they can't send you messages and get them to track it from there.

My wife last week ported from Telecom to Vodafone much as it pained me but her work pays her bill.  She was working in 10 mins once the port was complete, and I was able to text her from my Telecom phone without an issue.

If you are not prepared to get it fixed.. There isn't much I can do to assist.

Hi there sorry I have already been to Telecom and they guy basically just told me that he would reset my account which is exactly what they told other people who have also had the problem that I have seen on the net, there seems to be no way to resolve it other than changing networks.

So I went to 2degrees and had to pay for a new SIM but I really need to get this sorted ASAP it's a huge problem for me. My number is being ported back to 2degrees in 24 hours.

It's not just one person it's a couple of people now.
