In waiting for 4G to come to Hamilton. I've switched to Vodafone after being a Telecom customer for the last 13 years.

I know there's dual carrier 3G but 4G is so good, uploading pics is so quick. Lots of hype over 4G with Telecom but still waiting here in Hamilton.

I believe they may have a site live at Fieldays, but don't know if that will be trial or live to public.

I wondered the same thing and gave up waiting, and swapped to 2deg due to all the data drop outs. Funnily enough i've actually found the speed experience (page load time wise) actually better on 2deg.
Vodafone is rolling sites out at an insane rate - just check @johnreader's twitter. They are deploying 4G in places ive never heard of, and the current rate has been several sites a week. Most of central hamilton is done now.

Makes me wonder when Telecoms going to start rolling it out again, its almost like its halted?

I work in the central city in the ASB Building and i get full Voda 4G inside, and it seems like there's 4G around most of Hamilton. I also get full strength 4G in my suburb of Nawton. It was full on 4G ads on TV for the launch in the centres and now as you said, it seems like it's halted. I want to maximise my mobile experience and I'm sorry to say at the moment, Vodafone are doing it

Are you on postpaid or prepaid with VF? How much data do you get every month? Going to switch from Telecom to Vodafone as well because Telecom has no auto monthly top up  functionality. PITA topping up 2 numbers every month. 4G from Vodafone is also a bonus.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Prepaid 4G Pack $19 = 100 Mins, Unlimited Text and 500Megs + $5 = 2Gb Off Peak Data which is awesome for when I'm out and about in the weekends. Pretty good deal.

It's available from within the App.

Thanks! Going to switch tomorrow. I hope the off peak data add on is available via website login as well as Vodafone has not released an app for Windows Phone.

I just had an on-line chat with VF Online Shop Specialist  Sam, who tells me the $5 2gb off-peak data pack doesn't exist! Perhaps one of the Vodafone apologists who frequent the forums can elucidate?

Well it does exist as you can see by the screen shot. I do apologize as I thought it was a regular add on. It's a special offer handed out to some customers . I received a text and then checked my app . Boom I'm in.

Just for Clarification the 1GB & 2GB off peak Data packs are "Boosts" not add-ons.
The boosts that are offered to customers change from week to week and are not always guaranteed to be offered, The best way to check these is either through your My Vodafone App or by calling 321

Thanks. Do the users get to keep/renew these boosts if they like them every month from that point onwards or is it a one off special only offered for that month that cannot be renewed later?

New panels and other equipment were installed on the two Telecom Masterton cell towers a fortnight ago and around the same time spectrum was registered on RSM on 1800mhz for them also. It wasn't live when I checked yesterday though.
