Hey team,

Is anybody else having issues with bigpipe since the upgrade?

I am still getting timeouts to websites, but a refresh brings it straight up.

I've swapped routers, rebooted all equipment, tested from multiple machines. IM GOING MAD.

i haven't noticed any issues at all, either before or after weekend.  i'm using UnoTelly for my primary DNS service though if that's making a difference.

Hi,

We did a network upgrade on friday (you would have seen the email about it hopefully?) and I'm aware there are a few people (less than 10 we are aware of) who are having issues with our new DNS.

A few things to check:

ensure you have our new DNS settings in your modem (it should automatically pick them up with a reboot, but some equipment or unusual configs may not)

The new DNS is:

Primary 166.179.76.4 and
secondary  166.179.76.5

Have you submitted a ticket through our support form about your issue already?
If you are still having issues, definitely drop our support team a note through our site so we can track it. It will help us diagnose the problem.

Meantime,  you can set your DNS to 8.8.8.8  and that should work ok for now until we can resolve the issue.

Also,  it seems like the issue is confined to some people who have a public IP. Do you fit that description?

Thanks for your patience.

Hey Bigpipe, another user here. Yep I have a public IP and having some serious DNS delays, have been benchmarking it and 2-3s is not unusual for  queries. Like you say running Google DNS works fine, but I'm not going to use it as it messes up Akamai CDNs (when I checked it was pulling iTunes 250ms+ away from Singapore.) tongue-out

I will raise a support ticket at work - but hope you guys have a fix soon. cool
