Some of my friends have recieved a text from Skinny saying that if they top up, Skinny will match it, EG if they top up $50, Skinny will give them another $50 free meaning $100

I havn't recieved this text. Which is weird, so its obviously only for selected people? What is this selection based on? Completely random?

I have been with skinny since the beginning

Are your friends students who got the text deals? Warehouse stationery were doing some student promotion for half price top up up to $50.

Not sure - but I got one. I'm not a student., been with Skinny for about 3 months.

Oh and my account has enough money in it to covert the $16 plan for about 10 months (topped up big time when the warehouse had a 20% off $20 top-ups).
Credit expires after 12 months so the cynic in me thinks they are giving it to people you can't buy much unless the increase there usage ;)

Maybe it is those who shopped at the warehouse group for top-ups?

I don't think I've topped up since October last year (dunno can't find where the credit expiry date is on website) so must be for low user only.

Top Up via voucher or credit card? It's worth doing a top up if there's a chance of them matching it.

I got the notification on the 19th but didn't see this thread until now. I top up as required (using the auto topup) and I don't think I've done anything special. SIM is from the Skinny site.

KrazyKid: Credit expires after 12 months so the cynic in me thinks they are giving it to people you can't buy much unless the increase there usage ;)

If the $16 combo stays at $16 then I'll run out of credit well before it expires, even with a $50 topup.

you probably should contact skinny support, I got a free data notice from them few days ago, but no data was given like the notice said, so I contacted them, after few emails, they sorted for me, happy skinny user here :)

Double Top Up sounds really great, I wonder if its for those who get the notice only or everyone.

I got 250MB free on 5 of my 8 Skinny SIM cards. I think the double topup thing (I got that on my normal SIM) is just like a higher up prize.
