I just got caught out changing combos via the Skinny website.

I was part way through the month plan and though what a great deal this 1/2 price offer is, so swapped.
Silly me - I assumed that the current combo would finish and the new one would then start,

But no - the 30 days network access for free minutes resets and I lost a week to use my minutes in.
My minutes rolled over but since I'm a low user who will have trouble getting through the 500 minutes I now have that was neither here nor there to me

Grrr - not major but annoying - Skinny can do do something about this so combo changes come into effect upon renewal dates, not immediately?
At least make it clear on you website what happens.

So the lesson here is change you combos on the last day of your plan.

If this is what I think you're referring to

I changed from the $16 combo to the $15 (normally $30 combo)

And Lost the rollover minutes that I had previously, Which kinda sucks

Any Rollover Minutes you may have accumulated before the 4th of June 2014 on a $16 Combo will have no expiry and will be used before any new Rollover minutes. If your $16 Combo fails to auto-renew at the end of its cycle for any reason, or it is cancelled at any stage, you will lose all Rollover minutes you may have accumulated prior to 4th June (they will expire at the expiry date and time of your lapsed or cancelled $16 Combo)"

Yep, I lost the minutes as well, Looking at the new website for the first time it seems these 'old' free minutes actually will last for until my old combo expires - the are gone.

The bit that made me Grrr is the fact that if I don't have an active combo, I can't use my free minutes.
And my combo had a week to run before I had to renew it. I will now have to renew my combo a week earlier next month and hence lost some access to these minutes.

I still like skinny, but there seems to be some hidden catches sometimes.

They new website is clearer but could still be improved still.
Things like the top-up page - you cannot tell if the $8 600M data topup is for a week or a month at without checking up on a different page.
From memory the $10 300M is the monthly version, and the other is the weekly - but this need to be clear.
If not clear at one glance, at least when you mouse over.

I completely agree. The site has always been a bit scatter-brained and much of the information you need to make an informed choice is simply not there or, if it is somewhere, use ambiguous language. They need to get on with sorting that out as a priority instead of making a more 'pretty' sites.

They're going to fix those things about addons, it was okay in the old site but the new one doesnt say whether they are monthly or weekly, but they are going to fix it
